WOMEN IN LOG TRANSPORT

We currently have 1 woman driver carting logs and our Driver Trainer is also a woman. This is relatively rare in log transport.

We are not actively targeting the 50% of the population that seems to be discarded when recruiting for Log Truck drivers, but we are serious about getting good people with the skills, work ethic and desire to do a good job, and it so happens we have found women who are doing a fine job for us.

IMMIGRANTS UK SA

Nelson is regarded as one of the more desirable places to live in New Zealand and we have been actively and successfully recruiting from the UK and SA.  We have a number of drivers from the UK that have been with us for a long time. We also have technicians in our workshop from the Philippines.

Immigration rules are in a state of change at present. From 7 October 2019 the changes have meant we can no longer offer a path to residency, however there is still an option for 12 to 36 month work visas. For updated information on the NZ Visa rules, please refer to: www.immigration.govt.nz/
